Member Goals

Most people who sign up for out Online Program post some personal goals. Many of our members have said that publically stating these goals is very important because it helps them to keep focused on their commitment to try to reach their goals. Posting goals also helps others to decide what they would like to try to work toward.

Get inspired by reading some of these Goals!

carmie’s Goals are to:
   1. Run half marathon in April!
   2. Go for drive on highway
   3. Donate blood

Meleva’s Goals are to:
   1. 1

Starbucks’s Goals are to:
   1. Be able to gradually drive long distances without panic.
   2. Be able to work shifts alone at work and not get stressed out, I don't want to rely on someone else being there in order to calm me down.

claire’s Goals are to:
   1. work on my treatment and become successfull at the treatment
   2. do ICS courses
   3. dance everyday and become mobile walking car or bus

FixMe’s Goals are to:
   1. Leave the house and walk for about an hour per day, maximising the distance and time walked until I'm comfortable to venture into more crowded places alone.
   2. Make an effort to talk to friends and family every week and visit someone every week
   3. Make a phone call twice a week

MollyB’s Goals are to:
   1. Drive again without feeling a panic attack coming on!
   2. Go swimming again without anxiety.
   3. Get enough uninterrupted sleep.

Galadrien’s Goals are to:
   1. I will not hide in my bedroom all day, every day. I will only go in there to sleep, at night.
   2. I will spend better quality time with my children.
   3. I will try to find regular full or part time employment.

maureen1972’s Goals are to:
   1. walk to work every morning 5 days a week which takes 10-15 minutes without worrying if my heart rate goes up that I will panic and be able to stop in at the local shop on the way and stand in a queue with a fast heavy heart beat instead of by passing it because of fear of panicking and runnning out the shop before buying the goods that I need
   2. Going swimming at the Y 3-5 times a week.
   3. Eat food without the thought of eating making me nauseous.

DENA2010’s Goals are to:
   1. stop the panic attacks
   2. I am going to go to my next doctors appointment and not cancel anymore because of my anxiety, which causes me more anxiety.
   3. I am going to take my medication everyday so it does what its suppose to. And I'm going to take better care of myself by showering more and brushing my teeth more.

squittenssecret’s Goals are to:
   1. Not think about having a panic attack.
   2. Going swimming at the Y 3-5 times a week.
   3. Eat food without the thought of eating making me nauseous.

spuder’s Goals are to:
   1. to try not too worrry when my daughter's ill

danielle88’s Goals are to:
   1. To eat a proper meal without worrying that it will make me ill.
   2. To be confident that I can look after the children on my own on a night, without asking for my mums help.
   3. To look after and comfort my children when they are ill.

museluver’s Goals are to:
   1. As I have now learned to like myself through using this program I want to put what I have learned into use and help others to achieve their goals.
   2. Now I have a positive healthy mind make certain I don't allow negativity back into it. Be proud of how far I have come, reaching almost all of my goals.
   3. I am a new person with a new outlook on life I just need to conquer my eating disorder & life will be perfect for me. Any relationships still not repaired will be focused on and worked on.

Aimeee’s Goals are to:
   1. be able to control my fears and ignore them, by using certain techniques
   2. wear my contacts at least half of the day, put them in at 12 , so I will see if that helps me with the dizziness.
   3. Exercise every second day for about twenty minutes, either the crosstrainer or my dvd

prefernottosay’s Goals are to:
   1. Eliminate/ get rid of my anxiety and panic attacks
   2. work out at least 3 times a week, and make my muscles stronger, and body more limber. i would also like to meditate or try yoga classes once a week at least (and feel spiritually grounded).
   3. sleep a full night sleep, and feel rested in the morning without taking any type of medications to help me fall asleep.
